Didn't june 20th have early magic morning? I was in disneyland and DCA during this week you went, i was hoping to see you but unfortunately did not. We rope dropped DCA and did really well but when we tried to rope drop Disneyland, my alarm didnt go off so we woke up late so we didnt get to rope drop it. We did DCA June 20th and disneyland 21st and 22nd even though we wanted to start at disneyland, simply because of early magic morning, we didnt want to rope drop when those people would already be in the park on the rides.

In regards to how tall that new brick wall could be in the HM queue, it doesn't look to be waist high. If you look at where the concrete goes up to below the bricks themselves, it looks like the new brick wall is knee or thigh high....or roughly twice as high as it used to be.

Nothing beats the feeling of rope drop! Folks hyped to start their day, the music, and totally crushing rides!

Do you if they are taking the porch on Main Street? Or just refurbishing?

You plan so long as a non key guest for the trip to Disneyland and to have 5-6 rides temporarily closed for much of the day is beyond disappointing!!!

Just checked the refurb calendar and now space mountain, the railroad, animation academy, Anna and Elsa meet up and turtle talk are all closing Aug 5/6

The green paint on the mountain is probably calling out the plumbing that is running behind the concrete.

I’m willing to bet those Disney construction workers had to sign some sort of silence contract. Like,they aren’t allowed to talk to each other at an audible level from the park guests to hear. Certainly no music,or laughter. I bet it’s a strange experience for them,lol

Is DAS the disability access pass ? My daughter has autism but she’s like entry level autistic. She presents as a typical and you have to spend at least an hour or two with her to pick up on some que’s that something may be different about her. So basically I have no idea how we would ever be able to prove her autism. It’s not like the state gives us a card that we can just show ppl,lol Anyway,she does just fine in lines. Just as fine as the rest of us so I suppose those passes aren’t intended for ppl like us anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️

We were just at Disneyland on Sunday 6.23.24 and we had lunch at The Golden Horseshoe and they no longer offer the fish sticks. Only chicken strips. They still have the salad.

The Disney I grew up with has not changed for the better. Cutting corners, lack of creativity, poor maintenance…and turning the parks into IP junkyards.

We applied for DAS at the kiosks two days ago. Be prepared for a long wait. We arrived about 11:30 and were in the queue for about an hour and 10 minutes and took about another 20 minutes at the window so all told an hour and a half to do it. Hopefully they’ll add more umbrellas for the guests as well as the cast members as only about a third of the line was shaded and it was very hot two days ago

How does the virtual queue work if you are starting your day at DCA for early entry if HA opens the 23rd and can’t switch parks until 11:00?

Al they need is a wall panel with a doorway for the exir portal, and a big panel of plywood for a makeshift plank to eliminate the transition threshold. 16:57 one for Entry and one for exit. And a temporary ramp to the front entryway. 18:13

Why are you rushing around the land?

Along with the Jeep being removed from Avengers CAMPUS, there were two trees removed from the green area directly behind where it sat. This was a couple months ago, and I got all excited that it was the start of ALL the trees being removed from that that garden strip along the wall. But they stopped after just those two and dashed my forecast 😅 I’ll bet real money that, in a little over six weeks, we WILL finally know what the heck is going in back there.

Yes I am glad Porto’s is still on their latest DTD blog! And that Earl’s is still due to get on new building. But I am most excited about a steak and BBQ place (and hopeful it will central Texas style BBQ!).

That “beam” at mark 21:04 that is gray and sort of orange….. It’s a ladder! Two actually, one laying on top of the other. Workers and contractors will often spay paint on their personal tools to identify them.

On that wall I counted 8 bricks high laying flat, and then 1 brick on its side at the top. A common brick is about 2.25” high, may 2.5” - so let’s say 2.75” high adding the mortar in between. Then add the 3.75” for the brick laying on its side (common brick depth) on the top. So adding that up from the concrete that would be total of 25.75” or just over 2 feet. So unless the path is set lower than the concrete that is maybe a foot higher than what it was at most.

I'm so nervous on how the queue is gonna look.

Regarding new brick wall, it appears to be 18-24 inches tall about knee high. It is sitting on white concrete which would be the ground height. More brick facade to be erected around those cinder block columns at each end of the brick wall. The tallest and older looking brick wall near right side of the frame is likely about 5 feet tall or so.

Thoughts on the DAS policy aside, I'm glad to see the ticket kiosks being used. I remember lining up at them as a kid.

The main entrance to the Haunted Mansion it appears that will stay intact what’s your opinion on this

I can’t believe this! I’ve been watching you for years, and years, ever since the ninja was young. We’ve been to Disneyland many times, but I finally go off to San Diego while my two daughters go to Disneyland on their own and they get to meet you! I’m jealous, but also so proud that they know who you are. Great job, Fresh Baked! still love all you do and all the great entertainment you give us even if I missed my chance to meet you.

I got a Blue Sky ideas for replacements at Disney California Adventure I know this is gonna be a controversial opinion but i think closing down Muppet Vision 3-D was a big mistake because now Disneyland has no Muppets attraction but I think they should retheme the Paradise Gardens area with The Muppets The Little Mermaid attraction will stay because that is a great ride and I love it but the other attractions near it would close the Golden Zephyr will be rethemed to Pigs in Space from The Muppet Show, Jumpin Jellyfish will be Themed to Hot airballoons themed to Kermit the Frog taken from The Great Muppet Caper, Goofy's Sky School will be Rethemed to The Great Gonzo's StuntMadness and instead of a Airplanes guests will ride on the Plunger car from the Muppet Movie and the attraction takes place in The Great Gonzo's StuntShow Madness and for his 3rd act he invited you the guests on his Plunger Car the beginning of the ride you see Gonzo in his cannon being launched in the sky and then your car jumps though a Fire hoop (Which is not a fire Hoop it's just a hoop painted orange but it glows in the Dark at Night), a circular Saw, and at the end you see Gonzo on his Motorcycle in a slingshow and at the end he crashing himself and the motorcycle on the Stunt show Building and you see his cutout and his Motorcycle on the Building which is a tribute Muppet Vision 3-D and then at the end you unload from the vehicle and exit safety. The pizza place near by will be rethemed to PizzaRizzo from Disney World, and lastly The Silly Symphony Swings will be rethemed to the Electric Mayhem and will be titled The Eletric Mayhem: RockSwings my 2nd other idea is Paradise Gardens attractions like Goofy's Sky School, Golden Zephyr, Jumpin Jellyfish, and Silly Symphony Swings will be demolished for a FreeGuy Land the Land will take place in FreeCity from the Film and the main ride will take rider on a adventure through FreeCity and the attraction will use the same Ride system technology from The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida but instead of Rollercoaster vehicles its the Car that Ryan Reynolds drives in the film the land will contain the Coffee shop and Bubble Gum ice cream stand as seen from the film and the land will sell the Blue Lightsaber and Captain America Shield seen from the film also ok now my 3rd idea is The SunSet Showcase Theatre featuring Mickey's Philharmagic and Stage 17 will be demolished for a ride based on Zootopia the ride will use the same ride system technology used in Despicable Me Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida or my other idea is Muppet Vision 3-D will come back with a new Entrance

They there fresh baked! Met you today in DAS line with my kooky redhead son who’s a fan of yours! Das process was a mess took almost 2 hrs start to finish. Previously it would be 5 minutes at guest service umbrellas and done. I think the system is a waste was simple and they broke something not already broken. Also I want to mention Nolan was on the verge of losing it when we saw you it made his day. Thanks for chatting 😊

Just a note for anyone reading the comments, the okay fish and chips (which I like) have disappeared off the Golden horseshoe menu for the first time that I remember. I was three or four days ago. They are now at the galactic grill. Weird.

At about 20:40, the I-beam you see is a ladder laying on a pile of dirt.

The wall is in both shots of the HM queue, look beyond the outhouses and you can see the wall. I really do think it’s part of, if not the OG pet cemetery wall.

Disney is going to piss a lot of people off that DON"T want to use a virtual cue. They should just open the Haunted Mansion back up to everyone as normal. But No, they got to keep pissing people off.

I loved the Golden Horseshoe - thanks for continuing to throw light on the place where Walt had his anniversary before the park even opened sitting neglected.

I wonder how long til the Haunted Mansion queue and gift shop will be done.
